About The Position
John Deere is seeking a Part-Time Student - Software Engineer for the Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG-Urbandale) in Iowa. This position is designed to augment the company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule year-round. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will develop C++ applications utilizing perception software, machine learning, or advanced algorithms on John Deere vehicles. You will work with other Deere units to commercialize perception solutions on platforms and accelerate application opportunities that require a mix of image processing and machine learning. The role will focus on C++ software development for applications and integration of advanced algorithms into the application software that runs on embedded hardware. Additionally, you will assist in building and deploying data collection kits on machines in the field.
