About The Position

The Risk Management Department in the Smeal College of Business is looking to fill numerous exam proctor openings starting in fall 2025. Proctors will be responsible for various duties including transporting highly confidential test materials, reading standard instructions to students, monitoring test rooms, enforcing time limits, explaining examination procedures, distributing and collecting examination materials, checking students’ identification, and reporting any academic integrity violations or unusual occurrences during examinations.

Requirements

• Must be trustworthy.
• Be able to follow instructions exactly as given.
• Be able to effectively communicate and convey instructions to others.
• Have good written and verbal English skills.
• Be punctual.
• Must be 18 years old at the time of applying.

Nice To Haves

• Outside Smeal College of Business majors are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transport highly confidential test materials from one location to another.
• Read standard instructions to students.
• Monitor test rooms during the administration of examinations.
• Enforce time limits and compliance with other examination procedures.
• Explain and answer questions concerning examination procedures and related matters.
• Distribute examination materials to students.
• Collect, check, and count examination materials.
• Check students’ identification.
• Report academic integrity violations and/or unusual occurrences during examinations.

Benefits

• Working hours are Monday - Friday only, no weekends.
• Required to work at least one shift per month and once during finals week.
