About The Position

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND. As a Part-Time Student Accounting for JD Accounting & Finance located in Ames, IA you will provide support for automation projects for the function, build practical applications and reports to help management make better decisions, and collaborate in a team environment built off trust and the common goal to make processes more efficient and introduce new tools and technologies to the function.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting.
• Must be a registered student with a graduation date of December 2026 or later with a GPA of 3.3 or above.
• Ability to work 16-20 hours during the academic year.
• Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester.
• Experience with Python, SAP, Palantir, Excel and an educational background in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Analytics, or Computer Science.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of John Deere processes.
• Knowledge of AI tools or ML skills.
