About The Position

The Part Time Staff position at Young Life in Carmel, IN, is designed for individuals who are committed to engaging in ministry and spiritual development. The position encompasses various functions including spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, direct ministry, and ministry support. Staff members will be involved in creating personal growth plans, leading teams, recruiting and training leaders, managing finances, and maintaining communication with donors and community members. The role also includes active participation in Young Life events and camps.

Requirements

• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
• Seek and maintain relationships within a church community.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
• Recruit and train new leaders to build a leadership team.
• Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
• Raise financial support and maintain good donor care practices.
• Communicate ministry updates to personal donor partners.
• Network and develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community.
• Assist with camp fundraisers.
• Engage in all three levels of contact work.
• Lead a team to plan and conduct Young Life club and Campaigners.
• Implement a summer and school-season camping strategy.
• Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year.
• Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures.
• Manage finances with stewardship and accountability.
• Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors.
• Provide clear and professional communication.
• Set yearly strategic ministry plans and review them regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
