Requirements

  • 1+ year of childcare experience, which may include nannying, babysitting for non‑family clients, daycare, church nursery, camps, or similar roles
  • Family experience is welcome as additional background, but applicants must also have experience caring for children outside their own family
  • 2–3 childcare references, which may include a mix of professional and family references
  • CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
  • Must be 18+
  • Availability for two consistent weekdays between 7AM–7PM
  • Comfortable with variable weekly hours (5–20 hrs/week typical)

Nice To Haves

  • Caregivers with experience outside their own family, such as nannying, daycare, church nursery, camps, or babysitting for non‑family clients
  • Sitters who may also have family experience, but who have supported children in other settings as well
  • Reliable communicators who show up on time
  • People confident caring for children independently
  • Those wanting consistent weekday hours with flexibility

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent, in‑home care for infants, toddlers, and school‑age children
  • Engage kids in age‑appropriate, safe, and fun activities
  • Support daily routines: meals, naps, playtime, bedtime
  • Prepare bottles, snacks, and simple meals following family instructions
  • Transport children safely when needed (reliable vehicle required)
  • Maintain a safe environment and handle minor first‑aid needs
  • Follow family preferences to ensure a great experience
  • Assignments are matched within a 30‑mile radius of your home to keep commutes reasonable.
