About The Position

The Part-Time Server at La Costa Glen is responsible for providing exceptional table service in the community dining rooms of a resort-style retirement community. This role emphasizes fine dining standards and exemplary customer service, ensuring that residents have a pleasant dining experience. The position requires working part-time hours, including weekends, and involves various tasks related to meal service and customer interaction.

Requirements

• Must be able to work 3 days a week and available weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) year-round.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently in a busy environment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu items and answer questions.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, and staff.
• Requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness.
• Ability to work in a safe manner complying with all department and Community safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide table service in the community dining rooms.
• Ensure all standards of fine dining service are met.
• Take orders and provide service to residents courteously.
• Answer questions about menu items.
• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order.
• Clear dishes from tables before, during, and after meal services.
• Assist with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes as needed.
• Ensure upgraded orders are billed to resident accounts.
