About The Position

The Hilton Austin Airport is a recently renovated, full-service hotel located in the historic Air Force command building on airport property. As Austin’s gateway hotel, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality in a unique setting. We’re looking for a friendly and energetic Part-Time Server to join our team. Whether you're an experienced server or just starting out, this role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where customer service and fun go hand-in-hand.

Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry trays up to 30 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and ability to bend, reach, and twist frequently.
• Work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with fluctuating temperatures.
• Smile and engage with guests consistently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and suggest menu items and specials.
• Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders.
• Ensure product quality before serving.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience.
• Operate POS systems (MICROS) for accurate billing.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of tables and service areas.
• Assist servers and in-room dining attendants as needed.
• Handle cash and declare tips per IRS standards.
• Honor all guest requests with a “Yes is the answer” attitude.
• Attend orientation and required meetings.
• Follow all company policies and liquor regulations (TABC certification preferred).
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with team members.
