About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Veterinary Assistant or Student Veterinary Technician to join our team at our facility located at 10432 Ridgefield Parkway, Henrico, VA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong technical skills in veterinary medicine. This part-time position offers a pay range of $14 to $16 per hour, with expected hours not exceeding 30 per week. The role requires flexibility, as shifts may vary between 4 to 10 hours, and weekend availability is necessary as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to a variety of animals, including both equine and small animals, while ensuring compliance with veterinary protocols and maintaining accurate medical records. In this role, you will utilize aseptic techniques to assist in surgical procedures, perform laboratory procedures such as blood draws and sample analysis, and administer medications and treatments under the direction of veterinarians. Additionally, you will assist in X-Ray procedures and imaging, contributing to the overall health and well-being of the animals in our care. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
