The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining security protection on property, including money transactions, customer service, and performing command center/dispatch functions. The officer will check IDs to ensure all guests are at least 21 years of age to enter the casino, observe and report disruptive or intoxicated persons, and respond to security concerns in a prompt and efficient manner. In emergency situations, the officer will provide medical attention to guests and assist both guests and Team Members. Effective communication over dispatch radio is essential. Security Officers will routinely patrol assigned areas while providing guest assistance and being alert for suspicious circumstances or individuals, gaming violations, possible theft, safety hazards, medical emergencies, or damage to properties. The Security Officer must know where all emergency equipment and exits are located, including phones, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits. Any incident that warrants security intervention will be immediately relayed to Security Dispatch by the observing Officer. Regardless of where an Officer is assigned, they should be prepared to assist fellow Officers at any time. Maintaining an upbeat and positive demeanor in all interactions is crucial, as is maintaining composure in handling difficult interactions. Compliance with company regulations, policies, and procedures is mandatory. The officer acts as a role model to other employees and presents themselves as a credit to the Company, encouraging others to do the same. The officer performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. A clean MVR and the ability to drive a security vehicle to patrol external property are required.
