About The Position

The Part Time Security Officer role at Publix focuses on enforcing security policies and procedures, ensuring safety and loss prevention within the facility. Requirements

• At least 20 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Possess a Class 'D' Security Officer's License or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to withstand walking and standing for long periods.
• Able to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Ability to use a two-way radio.
• Verifiable satisfactory job performance record.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member.
• Show enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work, and commitment to Publix.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all Publix security policies and procedures.
• Detain and question individuals as required.
• Work with facility management on safety, security, and loss control matters.
• Maintain strict control of property access, material, and truck traffic.
• Observe persons and property on grounds and manage visitor control.
• Complete necessary logs and incident reports.
• Perform other security duties as assigned.
