About The Position

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a team member for our store in Clermont, FL. The primary responsibilities include delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Team members will be involved in truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises. This role also includes engaging customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, educating them on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey, and assisting with Omni channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping.
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Maintain store recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises.
• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Execute cash handling to standards during checkout.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs for compliance.
• Interact with others respectfully and positively, promoting the organization’s vision and values.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
