About The Position

As a Store Associate at Michaels in Canton, OH, you will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and ensure they find what they are looking for. Your role will include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, completing truck unloading, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises. You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions, while also engaging them on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. Additionally, you will educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Maintain store recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises.
• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs for compliance.
• Interact positively and respectfully with others; promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
