About The Position
ANTICIPATED Transporation Department Part-Time School Bus Aides 2025-2026 School Year QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent Acceptable verbal and written communication skills Ability to participate in all required bus aide training and professional development including CPR, EPI and First Aid training Ability to perform assigned duties Successfully pass a physical examination, Mantoux and criminal history review Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with staff, students, administration, parents and the community JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Get on and off the bus to assist students boarding at each stop Assist the bus driver with maintaining discipline on the bus Provide written records of student violations to the transportation manager Constantly monitor students well being and behavior during the route Respond appropriately to students needs during the route and notify the driver if an emergency exists Be familiar with the route in order to assist a substitute driver Assist the driver in keeping the bus clean Secure special needs students with restraints, tie downs (e.g. wheelchairs, seat belts, car seats, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safety and well being of students Provide First Aide and/or CPR only as trained and required by the situation Participate in scheduled emergency bus exit drills Assist bus driver and students in case of an accident Protect confidentiality of records and information about students STARTING PAY RATE: $26.20 per hour - Step 1 - Per UTTA contract Candidates are to apply online via Applicant Tracking by 12/31/2025 Deadline is subject to change Electronic Submission Only AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
