About The Position

The Part-time Scheduler for the Infusion Clinic at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is responsible for coordinating patient appointments for medical and hematology/oncology infusion services. This role involves effective communication with patients and staff, ensuring all necessary paperwork and preauthorizations are completed, and maintaining accurate records of procedures and resources. The position requires a commitment of 24 hours per week, including every other Saturday.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years related work experience required.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules patients for medical, hematology/oncology infusion appointments.
  • Communicates schedules on a daily basis, reviews with advisor, updates staff with revisions, and posts schedules.
  • Acts as a liaison with internal departments and external resources and agencies.
  • Coordinates to ensure all paperwork is complete and preauthorization has been obtained, and processes referrals for procedures.
  • Oversees documenting of procedures and resources, maintains and tracks service and procedure usage, and generates logs for review.
  • Contracts with vendors to coordinate delivery of equipment and ensures resources for procedures are maintained and available.
