WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Scale Operator for our Shrewsbury, Massachusetts ash monofill. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate measurement of fuel deliveries, including determining the correct gross, tare, and net weights. The Scale Operator will also be responsible for proper sampling of moisture content on all loads of processed fuel and logs delivered to or shipped from the facility. The position typically requires a commitment of 25 to 30 hours per week, including working every other Saturday, depending on the volume of fuel deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the role requires efficient and accurate operation in a fast-paced and diversified work environment. Basic typing and computer skills are necessary to operate the computerized scale system. Additionally, candidates should have a basic understanding of safety and standard operating procedures, be able to recognize safety hazards, and communicate effectively. Participation in safety meetings is required to achieve necessary training in basic hazard communication, hazardous materials, fire suppression, first-aid, CPR, hearing conservation, and other safety programs.
