About The Position

The Part Time Sales Supervisor at Dr. Martens in Santa Monica is a leadership role focused on enhancing customer service and driving sales performance. The supervisor will lead the store team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while coaching staff and maintaining store operations. This position is integral to supporting the brand's growth in the Americas region.

Requirements

• 1+ year supervisory experience, preferably within footwear.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, retail/register systems, web-based programs, and computerized inventory systems; experience with MPOS is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of basic math, including the ability to calculate percentages.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a broad customer base.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be approachable and polite.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to carry shoe boxes while climbing a ladder and/or stairs.
• Punctual in adherence to scheduled shift times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by leading the sales floor and fostering team selling.
• Elevate customer service by greeting store customers, sharing brand knowledge, and understanding customer needs.
• Act as a role model to encourage a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure the team is aware of business goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and implement strategies for attaining sales goals.
• Assist in training new sales staff on job duties and product knowledge, including coaching on and off the selling floor.
• Communicate store results effectively to business partners.
• Assist with daily operations related to opening and closing the store, balancing registers, and preparing bank deposits.
• Assist with operational tasks and physical inventories.
• Assist with merchandising to meet Brand Marketing guidelines and enhance product appeal.
• Work with the retail stock team to receive, maintain, and replenish in-store stock efficiently and accurately.
