About The Position
The Sales Lead position at Build-A-Bear Workshop is designed for individuals who are not only passionate about providing exceptional guest service but also eager to take on leadership responsibilities. As a Sales Lead, you will serve as a role model Bear Builder, demonstrating the Experience First® behaviors that are central to our brand. This role involves being the Leader on Duty during designated shifts, where you will oversee the total operation of the store. Your primary focus will be to lead a team of associates, ensuring that they adhere to brand standards while enhancing the guest experience and achieving store sales goals. In your capacity as the Leader on Duty, you will communicate clear expectations to your team and hold them accountable for meeting performance and behavior standards. You will energize your associates to ensure proper coverage and exceptional guest service, while also managing daily tasks and compliance with company standards. Recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance will be key to driving associate engagement and building a loyal customer base. You will also be responsible for auditing daily punches to ensure compliance with payroll policies and maintaining the store's readiness for guests at all times. When not acting as the Leader on Duty, you will perform the role of a Bear Builder, engaging with guests to provide a personalized and memorable experience. This includes welcoming guests, engaging them in conversation, and assisting them in selecting and purchasing their new furry friends. You will also inform guests about current promotions and party offerings, contributing to the overall store results by maximizing sales and enhancing the guest experience. Your role will require adherence to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for both guests and associates.
