Responsibilities
- Develop a strong working knowledge of all products and procedures for handling.
- Suggestive sell to every customer (offer the Behind-the-Counter-Special).
- Complete tasks assigned within a reasonable amount of time with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow the Customer Service Process.
- Engage the customer in conversation and offer products.
- Adhere to Dress Code.
- Maintain merchandising strategy for all products that ensures the proper placement and neatness for ease of shopping.
- Ensure that merchandise is properly marked/priced according to the Red-Black-Blue pricing strategy.
- Perform proper receiving, rotating and stocking procedures of all shipments (may include unloading trucks).
- Perform proper receiving of distributor returns.
- Protect all Company assets through compliance with established security (including store keys, locks and secreting store), cash handling, record keeping procedures and practices and loss prevention.
- Perform store opening and closing procedures (including making bank deposit drops/pick-ups).
- Operate cash register and perform cash handling procedures.
- Maintain store cleanliness on sales floor and in stockroom (including bathroom).
Requirements
- General education degree (or working towards attaining).
- Read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
