About The Position
At JAX Mercantile Co., we are passionate about serving our customers. Join our local, family and employee-owned company as a Sales Associate in our JAX Outdoor Gear, Farm & Ranch location in Broomfield, CO. Make someone's day by sharing your enthusiasm and excitement about hunting, fishing, or finding uses for military surplus with our customers at JAX! Our Sales Associates are responsible for greeting customers, providing honest and informative answers to questions, making suggestions about products that customers might want, and performing necessary tasks for efficient department operation. All JAX employees are expected to provide excellent customer service, engaging with people and sharing excitement about our store. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, assisting the Department Manager, and providing customer feedback to Department Managers and the Buyers' Team so our stores remain stocked with only the best products our customers have come to expect from JAX.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience
- Willing to pitch-in where needed
- Computer proficiency required
- Works well with others
- Organizational skills
- Engaging and positive
- Attention to detail
- Must be available Weekends
- Looking for applicants with open availability
Nice To Haves
- Previous knowledge or experience with hunting, fishing, or military surplus preferred
- Cashiering experience desired
Responsibilities
- Accurately processing payments
- Helping with visual merchandising
- Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
- Moving and shifting products for distribution and display
- Complete record-keeping tasks and contributing to reports
- Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
