About The Position

The Part-Time Roving Security Officer will assist Property Management in ensuring the safety and security of residents and authorized visitors. This role involves patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings and access points to maintain a secure environment. The position requires extensive interior and exterior patrols and the completion of reports documenting observations and incidents.

Requirements

• Must be available to work on weekends, specifically Saturday from 5:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday from 12noon to 5:00pm.
• Ability to patrol and monitor premises effectively.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Requires extensive interior/exterior patrols to assigned areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
