About The Position
As a Floral Sales Merchandiser for Kendal Merchandising Services, you will play a crucial role in representing our brand at Costco locations. This on-call position requires you to merchandise and sell fresh-cut flower bouquets and arrangements, ensuring that our products are presented in an appealing manner to attract customers. You will be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining merchandise according to set criteria, and providing exceptional customer service to Costco members. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and sales performance, making your role vital to our success. In this position, you will be expected to manage daily inventory, which includes conducting daily receivable counts and tracking daily "outs". You will also maintain cooler merchandising standards based on product schematics, ensuring that all products meet quality requirements through daily grooming. Keeping a clean cooler and work area is essential, as is changing water to maintain the freshness of our flowers. You will provide sales and customer service support to Costco members, developing and maintaining positive relationships with the Costco team. The role requires physical stamina, as you will need to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and pull rolling racks with products weighing up to 50 lbs. You must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, and lift products up to 4 feet high above your shoulders. Good communication skills and strong self-management abilities are essential, as you will need to complete daily procedures and responsibilities without direct supervision. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to perform your job safely, utilizing proper safety techniques and equipment when necessary.
