About The Position

The Newport location is a high-energy hub featuring a cheesemaking facility, pizzeria, and specialty market, focused on making people’s days. MOZZ is seeking a confident, high-energy leader to join its retail management team as an Assistant Manager. This role is central to the cafe, involving mentoring an enthusiastic team, building relationships with regulars, and ensuring every guest experiences the "beauty of MOZZ."

Requirements

• A Passion for Cheese: This is non-negotiable!
• Leadership Chops: Previous management and P&L experience.
• Organization: You are "extremely" organized and can manage multiple moving parts without breaking a sweat.
• Positivity: You are approachable, mindful, and thrive in a team-first environment.
• Flexibility: Available 20–25 hours a week, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Kitchen experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and develop a "stellar" staff committed to hospitality.
• Model outstanding service and monitor and ensure our food and drink quality is always premium.
• Manage schedules, monitor P&L goals, create and maintain spreadsheet cost analyst inventory tracking, order and receive deliveries, and keep the space immaculately organized.
• Drive marketing initiatives and implement efficiencies to help MOZZ grow.
