About The Position

Columbia Sportswear Company is hiring Retail Associates at a pay range of $16-$17 per hour. We are looking for individuals aged 16 and older who are interested in flexible work schedules with opportunities for advancement. Our associates play a crucial role in ensuring product availability, creating engaging visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process. You will represent our company and brands, serving consumers and sharing product information to help them find what they need. This position contributes to store profitability through accurate and efficient process execution while supporting our mission of 'Connecting Active People with Their Passions.'

Requirements

  • No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
  • 2 (or less) years of experience in a position or specialization.
  • Experience interacting with and serving consumers.
  • Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and various other retail software tools.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store and visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Retrieve merchandise from stock room and other inventory locations to restock the sales floor.
  • Perform cash register transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Connect consumers to the company loyalty programs.
  • Contribute to the profitability of the store by receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products accurately.
  • Respond to consumer questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability.
  • Assist consumers with buying decisions by understanding their needs related to merchandise.
  • Support Columbia Sportswear Company values to enhance the consumer experience and teamwork.
  • Acquire necessary knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute day-to-day operations.
