Under the direction of the Manager, Ambulatory Pulmonary Diagnostics and Respiratory Services, the Ambulatory RT is able to assist with the technical and clinical matters pertaining to ambulatory respiratory care and to the pulmonary lab. This includes performing all inpatient and outpatient pulmonary diagnostic testing throughout the Children's Mercy Hospital system; performing respiratory evaluation, treatment and education in an ambulatory setting; assisting in the development of continuous quality improvement standards; communicating professionally with providers regarding patient care; communicating professionally with patients and their families to ensure that they have a positive hospital experience.
