About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student researcher to join the Governance, Privacy, and Security Lab. Students will work on 'Threat Intelligence for Decentralized Assets (e.g., cryptocurrencies, DAO tokens, NFTs, etc)'. This project involves analyzing large-scale data to build probabilistic modeling to build ML risk detection in financial transactions.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python, or R, with expertise in data engineering, ML model development
• System Development & Deployment
• Data processing and visualization frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Dask, TensorFlow Extended)
• Familiarity with database management (SQL, NoSQL, graph databases)
• Interactive dashboards for risk monitoring (e.g., Flask, Dash, or React)
• Knowledge of probabilistic modeling, graph analysis, and anomaly detection techniques
• Experience working with natural language processing (NLP) models, particularly in fine-tuning large language models (LLMs)
• Some familiarity with financial compliance frameworks
