About The Position

The Graduate Program in Acoustics seeks to hire numerous Penn State students and non-students throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. We are looking to hire part-time research assistants and part-time teaching/learning assistants.

Requirements

• Current Penn State student or non-student
• Ability to conduct research and analyze data
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and collect data
• Interpret and analyze research data
• Report status of research activities
• Meet with research principle to maintain ongoing communication of research progress
• Perform other duties as assigned by research principle
• Grade student assignments and exams
• Respond to and return student work in a timely manner
• Hold regular office hours
• Attend lectures if required by faculty supervisor
• Consult with faculty supervisor to resolve administrative, grading or other issues related to the course
• Perform other duties as assigned by faculty supervisor
