About The Position

The Social, Life, & Engineering Sciences Imaging Center (SLEIC; www.imaging.psu.edu ) at Penn State University has an opening for a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) MRI technologist for evening and weekend imaging. The imaging center contributes to Penn State’s thriving research environment by providing state-of-the art brain imaging and data analysis facilities. The research MRI technologist’s principal duties and responsibilities include: scanning adult and pediatric research participants using a broad range of established and new methods; ensuring participant safety; collaboration on the development of imaging protocols; troubleshooting and implementing changes to existing protocols in collaboration with the investigators; conducting safety training, and other related duties. This position requires a motivated, independent, well-organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to those with experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging including high-field scanning and/or familiarity with MRI in a research-oriented facility. All candidates for this position must be registered as an RT/MRI Technologist with MRI certification.
