The College of Agricultural Sciences in the Department of Entomology is seeking a part-time research assistant to work in the Schilder Lab to conduct experiments to address the effects of chronic bacterial infection on locomotor performance in fruit flies. Responsibilities: Assist with colony rearing, data collection (e.g., climbing performance, energetics, protein expression), and analysis and interpretation of results. Following the ECoS Faculty Award for Undergraduate Research, the student will be expected to present their work at the Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition and the Eberly College of Science Fall Poster Exhibition requirements. Time commitment is of 60h throughout the duration of the project (01/30/2026 - 06/15/2026). Hourly rate: $15/hr.
