The lab of Dr. Sharon Swanger, Ph.D. is seeking a responsible and well-organized Part Time Research Assistant who can support research activities in the laboratory. The projects in Dr. Swanger’s lab elucidate the localization, function, and therapeutic potential for diverse neurotransmitter receptor populations in the brain. This work involves applying a combination of pharmacology, physiology, molecular biology, and cellular imaging to study neural circuits in the healthy mouse brain and mouse models of epilepsy. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented person who enjoys interacting with others, being a key part of a diverse and active scientific environment and managing multiple project duties. The successful applicant will have enthusiasm for neuroscience research and a desire to succeed in a fast-paced research environment.
