The MoD Laboratory in the Department of Biobehavioral Health at The Pennsylvania State University (http://bbh.hhd.psu.edu/) is seeking applications for an Undergraduate Research Assistant to characterize epidemiological differences of Cardiovascular Kidney Metabolic Syndrome (CKMD). The research project the successful applicant will be investigating the current guidelines of CKMD and how it fits with populations who are at higher risk of CKMD. In addition, the successful applicant will be testing additional variables that may be more suitable for capturing population-specific variance across each stage of CKMD diagnosis. Candidates for this position should have experience in the areas of public health, epidemiology, and statistics. Experience in statistical programming (R, Unix, Linux, etc.) is recommended. Experience or past training in genetics or omics is not necessary but viewed positively. The anticipated start date for the position is as early as January 12th, 2026, on an hourly and part-time basis (up to 20 hours a week).
