About The Position

The Part-Time Research Assistant will support the project "Alternative Project Delivery Methods in California Transportation Agencies: The Path Forward" under the supervision of Dr. Ghada Gad. This role involves assisting in various research activities aimed at benchmarking the use of alternative project delivery methods in California's local transportation agencies, providing recommendations for their implementation, and contributing to the overall research process.

Requirements

• Must be working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil/construction engineering or have a Bachelor's degree in engineering with limited research experience.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Self-starter with leadership skills is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and positively interact with students and faculty.

Nice To Haves

• Research experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in literature review related to alternative project delivery methods.
• Attend project team meetings to discuss research progress and findings.
• Collect and analyze data pertinent to the research project.
• Organize research materials and data for easy access and reference.
• Prepare reports summarizing research findings and recommendations.
