About The Position

EMPACT- Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, is an industry-leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing valued community services and resources for behavioral health counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention since 1987. The Specialist, while working remotely (from home), will ensure the quality of services to clients, coordinate day-to-day operations of the program, and recommend and implement changes that would improve the delivery of services. They will be expected to provide direct service counseling, ongoing counseling, prevention services, and education services to adults, families, and youth. Directly supervise remote (from home) clinical staff. Remote but must be an AZ resident. This is a Part time role. Shift: 8pm-6am Sunday and Monday OR 2pm-12am Thursday and Sunday

A bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, orrelatedfield isrequired.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the behavioral health field.

Responsibilities

Provide quality assurance of the program's service delivery.
Complete clinical documentation thoroughly, clearly, and accurately, including information critical to data collection and reporting to funders. Forward internal referrals to theappropriate program(s)with all required information ina timelymanner. Monitor call-in times for clients placed on a 72-Hour Suicide Watch or Safety Follow-Up.  Will berequiredto work beyond his/her shift with no advance warning if thecrisis situationwarrantsor ifrequiredpaperwork is not complete at the end of the shift. Attend all required meetings and training courses, even if they fall outside of the regularly scheduled shift. Evening and night hours may be required. Comply withandensurecompliancewithstaff with the agency's standard of care for service delivery. Assist with Quality Management, Quality Assurance, and Utilization Review as assigned by management.
Ensure quality service delivery including clinical care and all associated documentation. Maintain all client recordsin accordance withagency policies and procedures. This includesappropriate phonedocumentation, intake documentation, endangerment triaging, treatment planning, referral triaging, risk planning, termination documentation, interagency reports, and follow-up documentation.
Take an active role in ad hoc committees and work groups as assigned by the Manager or Director of Programs.
Provide instruction and training for interns and staff.
Adhere to the agency's policies and procedures andassurethat staffiscomplying.
Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the policies and procedures of the agency.
Provide comprehensive services to clients and coordinate communication with other departments in the agency toaccomplishcontinuity of care.
Provide and deliver at least40 hoursof work per week. Attend meetings and training outside of regularly scheduled work hours. Program Coordinators willbe requiredto work beyond scheduled work hours to complete required paperwork or to complete crisis stabilization tasks. Evening and night hours may berequired.
