About The Position

The Part Time Relief Events Supervisor (Duty Manager) at the Anaheim Convention Center is responsible for assisting Event Managers and acting as a relief person during events. The position is part-time, averaging around 20 hours per week, with a focus on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the event industry and customer service in a multi-purpose facility.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage activities and events.
  • Basic computer knowledge including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of Federal, State, City, and County rules and regulations.

  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and relief to the Event Managers.
  • Maintain and facilitate communication between tenants, contractors, and employees.
  • Monitor the quality of services provided.
  • Ensure tenant plans and requests comply with State, City, and County rules and regulations.
  • Respond to citizen inquiries and resolve difficult and sensitive situations.
  • Inspect the facility for damage and report it to security or submit work orders for repairs.
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained throughout the tenancy of contracted events.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
