Job Title: Part-Time Recovery Counselor Division/Program: Fresno CRT Program Starting Compensation: 17.46 -19.00 USD Per Hour Working Location: Fresno, CA Working Hours/Shift: Friday & Saturday PM Shift, 2 PM - 10:30 PM Why Join Our Team? Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required.
  • Six (6) months of direct care experience in a mental health preferred.
  • (Non-professional consumer-directed internship may be substituted)
  • Valid CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid ProAct certification required within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a social science field preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
  • Valid California Driver’s License preferred plus eligibility to meet agency driving criteria

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and assists clients with self-help skills in the areas of eating, hygiene and grooming and other activities or nursing activities.
  • Monitors client’s attendance at assigned activities and maximizes client participation through appropriate motivational techniques.
  • Conducts and assists both large and small activity groups and outings independently but under the supervision of the Program Manager or his/her designee.
  • Encourages client’s interaction and socialization with other peers, providing feedback to clients on appropriate behavior while acting as a role model.
  • Accurate documents in writing each client’s attendance and response to activity and therapeutic groups or individual counseling in the individual medical record.
  • Attends and actively participates in Treatment Team meetings, as needed
