Evaluate patients to determine whether their symptoms are the result of a physical illness, a combination of physical and mental, or a strictly psychiatric one. Determine and lead treatment plan.

Requirements

• Licensed physician
• Completion of a board-approved child/adolescent psychiatric residency

Responsibilities

• Provide psychopharmacological assessments and reviews as required.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with other team members.
• Communicate with parents about medication recommendations.
• Participate in clinical rounds and other clinical meetings.
• Provide psychiatric evaluations for new patients.
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities (when applicable) to include but not limited to providing necessary orders, conducting physical assessments of youth when needed, providing consultation to nurses and/or program staff when needed.
• Maintain compliance with all required trainings, re-certifications, or licensing requirements/renewals.
• This role requires frequent visits to the campus in Douglasville, GA.
