About The Position

The Part-Time Psychiatrist position at High Focus Centers is a flexible role designed for board-certified psychiatrists to provide outpatient behavioral health treatment across various Pennsylvania locations. This contractor position involves supporting clinical staff during absences and ensuring quality psychiatric care for clients.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Psychiatry.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric medicine, with expertise in co-occurring disorders, mental health, and substance use treatment.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP) and HIPAA compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups.
• Review lab results and monitor blood levels.
• Manage medication, including preparation of discharge orders and prescriptions.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and primary care physicians as appropriate.
• Ensure clients are prescribed appropriate medications at discharge.
• Coordinate and complete the peer review process.
• Work with a collaborating psychiatrist for medication and treatment decisions.
• Provide clinical staff support and resources as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
