About FLIPANY FLIPANY is a 501c (3) non-profit, community-based agency that serves to advance healthy equity through nutrition education, mentored physical activity programs, and wellness initiatives. FLIPANY is proud to service the South Florida Community (Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County). FLIPANY is disrupting the way health and wellness support is offered to communities that have been historically ignored. We serve nutritious food, encourage healthy eating, and get people to move. Whether we are working with partners to connect families to food, teaching kids to dice veggies or kick a ball, or designing customized health and wellness programs, FLIPANY takes an active, “hands-on” approach. We incorporate life skills into all of our programs to increase the emotional well-being and resilience of the kids and families. We push beyond boundaries and explore every opportunity to offer creative health and wellness initiatives that inspire people to transform their lives forever. Position Overview: This is a seasonal position aligned with FLIPANY’s program cycles. Based on organizational needs, funding, and performance, there may be opportunities for continuation, including potential transition into a full-time dual-role structure combining meal site monitoring and instructional responsibilities, such as facilitating healthy cooking and nutrition education classes (following training). The Program Coordinator plays a dual role, engaging directly with youth while also overseeing program monitoring and compliance. FLIPANY operates through an agency-to-agency model, meaning this position works closely with partner agencies throughout the Palm Beach County community. This role is ideal for a passionate individual prepared to mentor and guide youth through social-emotional learning activities and wellness experiences that promote healthy lifestyle habits. At its core function, this position manages a caseload of approximately 15 meal service sites, ensuring compliance with Child Care Food Program and Summer BreakSpot regulations. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, tracking required paperwork, training site staff, and verifying accurate meal reporting and documentation. The position also supports outreach efforts including identification of potential partner sites, development of leads, and conducting pre-operational visits to expand FLIPANY’s network of meal sites.
