About The Position

The Goddard School of Gahanna is a warm, nurturing preschool dedicated to early childhood development through play-based learning, structure, and care. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and caring individual to support both our classroom and administrative operations. This dual-role position combines preschool teaching responsibilities with office administrative support . The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is also comfortable handling clerical and organizational tasks. Requirements

  • Experience working with young children (preschool or daycare preferred)
  • Basic office/administrative experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Background check clearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Early Childhood Education coursework or certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead age-appropriate activities for children ages [X–X]
  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and positive classroom environment
  • Assist with lesson plans, daily routines, and classroom management
  • Observe and support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Answer phones, emails, and greet parents/visitors
  • Manage attendance, enrollment paperwork, and student records
  • Assist with scheduling, billing, and basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Order supplies and maintain organized office systems
  • Support the director with general administrative tasks
