About The Position
For over 25 years, A Good Start Preschool has been committed to providing exceptional early childhood education rooted in faith, family, and whole-child development. We are now seeking a Part-Time Teacher / Floater to support our classroom teams in the 2-year-old class, 3–4-year-old class, or Pre-K class as needed. This is a wonderful role for someone who loves children, enjoys variety, and wants to be part of a warm, Christian-centered preschool community. About Us Our preschool nurtures the whole child through: Social-emotional development Academic learning through structured play Daily devotions & nondenominational Bible stories Creative exploration and hands-on learning Our passion is to prepare children for Kindergarten while helping them grow into confident, kind, and joyful learners. Position Summary The Part-Time Teacher / Floater supports multiple classrooms based on daily needs. This includes helping lead teachers with routines, supervising playtime, assisting with small group learning, and helping maintain a calm, caring environment for our students. Requirements
- Experience working with young children preferred
- Ability to relate well to children, staff, and families
- Mature, dependable, and willing to learn
- Must pass a criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in the 2-year-old, 3–4-year-old, or Pre-K classrooms
- Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
- Provide support during routines such as snack time, restroom breaks, diaper changes, and transitions
- Maintain a safe, caring, and positive environment
- Support the overall mission and team culture of A Good Start Preschool
