About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Prep Cook to support our kitchen operations. This role is responsible for preparing ingredients and menu items according to standardized recipes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with food storage and organization. The Prep Cook works closely with Lead Cooks, the Executive Chef, and management to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; Culinary Arts education is a plus
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a high-volume or full-service restaurant or food prep environment
  • Basic knife skills and familiarity with common kitchen equipment (stoves, grills, fryers, etc.)
  • Ability to read recipes, follow instructions, and perform basic math (adding, subtracting, measuring)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy periods
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work

  • Culinary Arts education is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and kitchen procedures
  • Wash, peel, cut, seed, weigh, and measure vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients
  • Set up and maintain assigned prep stations
  • Properly store food using required wrapping, labeling, and dating procedures
  • Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including equipment and utensils
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, ServSafe, and workplace safety guidelines
  • Take direction from Lead Cooks, Managers, and the Executive Chef
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods as needed
