About The Position

Students working at the poultry farm will assist in all facets of the operation. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfection of pens, setting up new pens for research projects and facility birds, feeding, water management, egg collection and processing, sales, meat bird and turkey processing for sales, incubation and hatching of eggs, artificial insemination of hens and collection of fertile eggs, and feed mixing and ration development. Students will also get to work on data collection with department investigators. Hours will vary throughout the week, and weekends are mandatory. Housing is available on a limited basis.

Requirements

• Valid US driver's license
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
• Standard background checks
