About The Position

Penn State Abington’s Science and Engineering Division seeks an instructor in the area of Physics for a part-time appointment to begin Fall 2024 . Job Duties The successful candidate will teach college level courses in physics, specifically PHYS 211, General Physics (mechanics/kinematics/dynamics) and PHYS 212, General Physics (electricity/magnetism) . The ideal candidate should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery. Penn State Abington is a four-year undergraduate college of Penn State University located two blocks from Route 611 in Abington, Pennsylvania, and 10 miles north of Center City Philadelphia. Requirements

• Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population.
• Candidates must have completed at least a Master’s degree in either physics or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
