About The Position

Fairview is seeking a PART TIME Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing inpatient team at the newly opened Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. This state-of-the-art, 144-bed behavioral health hospital was purpose-built to support patients with acute mental health needs in a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment. As our program continues to expand, physicians have the opportunity to help shape scheduling, workflow, and clinical program development in collaboration with engaged hospital leadership.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Eligible for Minnesota medical licensure
Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred

Nice To Haves

Fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Pain Medicine, or Hospice & Palliative Medicine welcomed

Responsibilities

Part-Time (.60 FTE - 1.0 FTE) Adult Inpatient Psychiatry
Structured, team-based coverage model ensuring 24/7 continuity of care
Shared call rotation supported by hospitalists and moonlighters
Dedicated APP support to promote sustainable physician workloads
Multidisciplinary treatment teams including nursing, therapy, and social work
Participation in daily interdisciplinary rounds
Opportunity to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program growth
Scheduling continues to evolve as the team grows, with a focus on flexibility and maintaining manageable inpatient volumes.
