About The Position

Examinetics is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing team! This is a part-time position with up to 20% travel out of state. This role focuses on proactive injury prevention, workplace performance optimization, and early musculoskeletal intervention within industrial and corporate work environments. You will work directly with employers and employees to reduce injury risk, improve movement efficiency, and support safe return-to-work strategies—making measurable impact at both the individual and organizational levels.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
  • Has a strong orthopedic foundation and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Enjoys problem-solving in dynamic, real-world environments.
  • Is interested in career growth within ergonomics and occupational health.
  • Experience or strong interest in ergonomics, injury prevention.
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in applicable state(s).
  • Strong musculoskeletal assessment, movement analysis, and orthopedic rehabilitation knowledge.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, leadership, and diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with clients, safety teams, and employees.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple client sites.
  • Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to identify ergonomic risks and recommend practical, evidence-based solutions.
  • Proficiency with documentation systems and basic technology tools.
  • Proactive, prevention-focused mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in occupational health, athletic training, kinesiology, or exercise science preferred.
  • CEAS, industrial ergonomics, or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design individualized stretching and corrective exercise programs.
  • Provide early intervention strategies for minor musculoskeletal complaints.
  • Instruct employees on safe application of heat, ice, taping, and non-rigid bracing.
  • Assist with post-offer employment testing and functional assessments.
  • Conduct onsite ergonomic evaluations across manufacturing, industrial, and corporate settings.
  • Perform job demand analysis, posture analysis, and video task analysis.
  • Identify movement inefficiencies and injury risk factors.
  • Recommend practical, evidence-based ergonomic and workflow improvements.
  • Deliver hands-on training in lifting mechanics, pushing/pulling strategies, and material handling.
  • Collaborate with safety teams to develop proactive injury prevention initiatives.
  • Meet with clients to assess operational needs and support program planning.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that elevate employee health and safety outcomes.
