Part-time Physical Therapist Assistant Instructor
About The Position
Overview Blackhawk Technical College is seeking candidates to instruct within our Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Instructors could provide instruction in any of the following areas Kinesiology, Therapeutic Exercise, Therapeutic Modalities, Musculoskeletal Rehab, Neuromuscular Rehab, Professional Issues, Cardiopulmonary Conditions, Conditions of the Integumentary System, and/or Rehab Across the Lifespan. Responsibilities Facilitation of Learning. Plan, prepare and deliver instruction and facilitate the learning of students. Assess the learning outcomes of students at the unit, course, and program level. Classroom Management. Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student attendance and grade records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and equipment security, and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation. Interpersonal/Team Skills. Participate in activities of the instructional team, including planning, development, scheduling, and budgeting as a cooperative and professional team player. Student Support and Guidance. Support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals (If applicable) Curriculum Development. Develop, revise, and continually update curriculum and instructional materials which are competency-based, current, consistent with employer expectations, and aligned with the college policy on level of required documentation. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field. Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant License in any jurisdiction Three (3) years of full-time clinical experience. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Healthcare-related field Previous post-secondary education experience, include classroom and on-line facilitation. Clinical Instructor related to the clinical education of PTA students Credentialed as a Clinical Instructor Blackhawk Technical College does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
