Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a Part-Time LionLaunch Coordinator to manage and run the LionLaunch program, which is part of Invent Penn State (IPS). This initiative is designed to foster innovative and entrepreneurial skills among students, faculty, staff, and the community, particularly in Schuylkill County. The position anticipates a commitment of approximately 22 hours per week. The primary responsibilities include coordinating workshops and training programs tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses through outreach and partnerships with local workforce development groups. The coordinator will also plan and implement a variety of programs and events within the LaunchBox portfolio, which may include the Idea DesignLab, Idea TestLab, Social Impact Accelerator, and various workshops and events. In addition to program coordination, the LionLaunch Coordinator will support Penn State Schuylkill student entrepreneurs and work to cultivate financial support for LionLaunch initiatives by managing grant funding and endowments. Increasing the visibility of LionLaunch and its programs on campus and within the community is also a key responsibility. The coordinator will engage with the Invent Penn State Network on statewide initiatives and manage data tracking and annual reporting, including activities and budgeting. This role will involve collaboration with community-facing business and education programs and projects with Schuylkill LaunchBox, Downtown Shenandoah, Inc., local chambers of commerce, and workforce and economic development organizations. These collaborations may lead to potential internships and employment opportunities for students, successful business startups, and corporate training opportunities for business partners.
