About The Position

The Part-Time Payment Adjustment Processor at Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division (MLGW) is responsible for reconciling erroneous payments, processing non-sufficient fund checks, and managing customer payments. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate billing information and ensuring smooth financial operations within the utility service.

Requirements

• Must pass Division's typing test of 30 w.p.m.
• Must successfully complete Placement/Performance Exercises.
• Must have successfully completed Division's training in basic computer skills.
• Must successfully complete Customer Contact Test.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile erroneous payments
• Maintain control of and process non-sufficient fund checks
• Set up bank draft accounts
• Receive and process mail/cash payments from customers and collections from agents
• Maintain control of reports
• Audit various computer listings to verify and correct billing information
• Balance daily transactions and checks with stubs
• Perform various clerical functions and other related duties.
