About The Position

As a Part Time Party and Events Coordinator at Michaels, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and facilitating a variety of events, including children's birthday parties and craft classes. Your primary goal will be to create a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests of all ages, from young children to adults. You will be responsible for delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in finding products, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. In addition to event coordination, you will also complete operational tasks such as truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold the company's Brand Promises. In this role, you will manage multiple events simultaneously, engaging with clients and creating an environment filled with fun and creativity. You will demonstrate and instruct party participants in completing craft projects, perform face painting, and facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards. Communication will be key, as you will need to keep clients and store team members informed about events, adjust plans based on client feedback, and create backup plans as necessary to ensure client satisfaction. You will also assist customers in shopping, locating products, and providing solutions, while promoting the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. Your responsibilities will include participating in truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining merchandise recovery standards. You will adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements, while also promoting a positive image and serving as a role model for other team members. Daily store cleanliness activities will be part of your routine, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers.
