About The Position

The Oakland K-8 Public Schools is seeking a part-time paraprofessional for the 2024-2025 school year. The role involves assisting in the implementation of instructional programs for students in various content areas including reading, writing, and mathematics. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to accept direction and supervision from certificated staff and the Child Study Team.

Requirements

• Knowledge of and ability to assist in the implementation of instructional programs.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to accept direction and supervision from certificated staff & Child Study Team.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Willingness to ride the bus.
• Child-centered approach.
• NJ Criminal Background Check and CPR/AED Certification required.

• Teacher Certification.
• Experience working with children.
• ABA Experience.
