About The Position

The Front Desk Agent at IHG Army Hotels is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests during their stay. This role involves checking guests in and out, processing payments, and ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The agent will also manage guest bookings, handle inquiries, and assist with various tasks to enhance the guest experience.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills to address guest concerns and enhance their experience.
  • Fluency in the local language; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Basic literacy and tech-savviness for reading, writing, and using computers.
  • Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a bonus.
  • At least one year of experience in a front desk or guest service position.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50lbs (23 kg).

  • Experience in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Check-in/check-out hotel guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process all payments per established procedures.
  • Manage guest bookings and upsell opportunities.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Record and act on guest preferences and requests.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and provide local knowledge.
  • Report incidents and follow safety procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance as a brand ambassador.
  • Stay informed about daily events and activities.
  • Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed.
